Best Practices for Dental Infection Control

Parmar Family & Cosmetic Dentistry wants to assure all of our patients and their families, as well as any prospective patients, that we follow all of the standards and best practices for dental infection control, offering a clean and safe environment for treatment.

These best standards have come quite a long way over the past few decades, which of course is also the case in all other medical fields as well.

Here are just a few of the best practices for health, safety and infection control which we follow:

  • Always wearing gloves, gowns and masks.
  • All one-time use equipment is safely disposed following each treatment, including gloves, drapes and tools.
  • Hands are always washed before and/or after each patient or touching any potentially contaminated surfaces.
  • All instruments are washed, disinfected and sterilized with chemicals or steam after each usage.

Additionally, it's important to note that the quality of water utilized in a dental office is not a concern when the practice follows proper guidelines set by the CDC and ADA.

Please let us know if you have any specific allergies or conditions such as weakened immune systems.

Parmar Family & Cosmetic Dentistry always places the health and safety of our patients first. With any questions or for more information, call our office in Clarksville, Maryland today at 410.531.5639 or fill out our contact form.
